Presentation at the Global Maternal Newborn Health Conference, October 19, 2015

During this presentation, France Donnay will discuss why “women and health” is an approach that fits the agenda of the Gates Foundation: its focus on girls and women, the links it establishes between health and multiple aspects of sustainable development (such as education and agriculture), and the impact of gender on both women’s health and women’s roles as care givers. She will also describe and discuss the negative ways in which women’s roles in health care and women’s health may connect, using maternal mortality as an example.
