Posted on

In honor of Mother’s Day, Save the Children published the eleventh State of the World’s Mothers report. The focus of the report is on the shortage of health workers around the world who are needed to improve the health and save the lives of mothers, newborns and children in developing countries. The report focuses specifically on the shortage of female health workers—and points out that many women in developing countries cite lack of female health care providers as the main reason they choose not to seek care.
