The International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) and Save the Children invite you to nominate an exceptional midwife who works in maternal and newborn care in low-resource settings. All women need access to antenatal care in pregnancy and skilled care during childbirth. Midwives and others with midwifery skills can reduce maternal mortality by two-thirds and reduce newborn mortality by half. Identify and nominate someone you know working to provide these services now.
Two midwives will be chosen to attend the conference which will be held in Prague, Czech Republic from the 1st to the 5th of June, 2014.
Nominations are open though March 17th.
