2016 Safe Mothers and Newborns Leadership Workshop Boston, MA; Ana LangerThis week the Maternal Health Task Force (MHTF), with support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, has teamed up with The Aga Khan University and the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) to host the second annual Safe Mothers and Newborns Leadership Workshop. The goal of the workshop is to increase the capacity of key players in the field of reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH) from high burden countries to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality by upgrading their technical knowledge and leadership skills.

The workshop will draw on the expertise of international faculty to offer participants useful lessons that they can bring back to their home countries. The 2016 participants represent 26 countries from around the globe and work in a number of sectors including ministries of health, nonprofit organizations and hospital systems.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we post interviews with these global leaders on the MHTF Blog.
