What the feel of adolescent health today needs crucially is a unified platform that allows countries to come together and pursue a contextually-relevant common agenda on adolescent health. The Global Strategy is such platform to a global call to action to deliver against all the adolescent health-related indicators in the Sustainable Development Goals accountability framework. The paper includes an assessment of the health targets related to adolescent health and identify indicators that are critical to measure the targets. The list of indicators related to health across the Sustainable Development Goals are included and discussed. Given the extent of change across adolescence the health targets are measured distinctly in relation to adolescents aged 10-14 and 15-19 years in order to monitor countries against these indicators. Finally, certain programmatic principles are discussed based on evidence of impactful programmatic interventions,
