Phillips and colleagues published guidelines for the care of late preterm infants on behalf of the National Perinatal Association (US). Recommendations include various points of care, including ensuring stability of the newborn, screening, safety, and support from inpatient to outpatient care, as well as short and long-term follow up. The guideline includes strategies for the healthcare team and to facilitate family education.
