With the support of the MacArthur Foundation, since 2007 Pathfinder International has implemented the Continuum of Care: Addressing Postpartum Hemorrhage project to prevent and manage postpartum hemorrhage in India and Nigeria. The project addresses the four delays that are known to lead to maternal mortality, incorporating prevention, recognition, and treatment of PPH, community-level engagement, and advocacy regarding the need for a continuum of care. This technical update discusses project performance and insights from implementation to date.
